What happens if you get a medical condition or injury while in dep?
Caliente asked:
Will the military fix the injury/medical condition if the person doesn’t have health insurance?

You would need to see your doctor. As you are not on active duty while in DEP, you are not eligible for military medical. Additionally, if the medical condition or injury causes you to become ineligible for enlistment, you would not be able to enter the service and your participation in the DEP program would end.

You need to contact your recruiter right away. No the military isn’t responsible you yet so it will be your responsiblity to have it taken care of.

Until you take the final oath of enlistment and ship out for basic training the military has no obligation to treat any condition you might acquire in a DEP status.
