Which Motor Scooter Is Right For Me?

I want something highway legal because I will be transferring schools soon and need to go to and from. I am a resident of Georgia. I will be using my car only for long distance trips probably. I really like the classic designs like the Genuine Scooter, Stella. I need to know if I need a motorcycle license and roughly how much insurance is (or at least where to find good quotes).

I have progressive insurance as they were the lowest here. I would call around. Another is Dairy Land. I would suggest that before buying the Stella look at Kymco they are priced right and rated higher than all of your Japanese brands. The people style they make as a nice classic look to them. you would want at least 150cc.

Any scooter that is more than 50cc you must have a motorcycle license. A 50cc is street legal but that’s it’s you can’t take them on highways because they are generally limited to 40 to 45 miles per hour or less. Your best bet is something that is at least a 150cc. They are heavier and a lot more powerful for highway use. The best place to check for insurance is esurance.com
